Yes, all TLC sitters are bonded and insured. Verification information is available upon request.

Do you administer medication?

We will administer vet prescribed medication only - pills, drops, and injections are at no additional charge. We will not administer medication to any animal that poses a danger to any of our sitters.

How much notice does TLC need when I make a reservation?

A new client, the earlier you call the better.  We must schedule an initial FREE consultation before we start services, so contacting us at least two weeks in advance is preferred.

If you are a current client, a week in advance is typically enough time. However, if you need services for a holiday, please call or e-mail, to request service as soon as you know you are leaving.  Holidays book up quickly so please book early!

I'm leaving in two days- can you take care of my pets without meeting a TLC sitter?

We are sometimes available for last-minute sits, and if we have space available and time to set up an initial interview, we will be happy to help you. Unfortunately, unless we have already met you and your pets, we will not take care of them without a prior meeting. This is for both your safety and the safety of the sitter who will be coming into your home while you are away.

What is a FREE consultation visit with TLC?

Call or e-mail TLC to schedule a FREE consultation when you book our services so your sitter can get acquainted with your pets (this will take approximately 30 minutes).

  • Verify your information (dates of services, vet number, emergency numbers)
  • Gather information about your pet(s) daily routine
  • Review our policies
  • Collect 2 key(s) and a deposit.

Why do you need two keys?

We collect two keys and code them to ensure your pets are cared for at all times. TLC will store your key indefinitely at no additional charge.

Why do I need to call the office to make schedule changes instead of just telling my sitter?

All reservations or changes to reservations must be made either through the office at 480-588-1DOG (1364), our website, or via e-mail. Please do not place our sitters in the uncomfortable position of offering them pet sitting or dog walking. Sometimes clients are given the sitters private cell phone number as a means to reach them in an emergency while you are away and we ask that you do not contact them to set up future sits when you return. Asking the pet sitter to compromise their loyalty to TLC puts them in an awkward position as this would violate their contract with TLC. Additionally, you will not be covered by our insurance if you are not on our schedule.

Can I be assured that I will have the same sitter/walker each time?

When you request services, you will be assigned a primary sitter, depending on where you live and the type of service you need. During holidays, you may not have the same sitter. Please call in advance to ensure your primary sitter is available.

When and how do I pay?

TLC requires a 50% deposit for all new clients, overnight visits and holiday visits with balance to be paid in full on or before first appointment. TLC accepts cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard.

Absolutely, this is the best compliment we can receive when you refer your friends and family to us.  As a thank you, you will receive a $10 off your next booking. Contact TLC and ask us about our referral program.
