Kara was born in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and is a graduate of The University of Arizona. She was raised with many animals. While working in her mother's boarding and grooming kennel, her interest in pet care blossomed. There she helped with all facets of the kennel's operations including raising, training and showing Golden Retrievers. Today, she continues to bring the professional services of pet care to TLC's customers in their own home environment. It is hardly a surprise that when she is not caring for TLC's customers, she enjoys being with Niko, her own Golden Retriever and Brownie, a rescued chocolate lab.
